2017 - Annual Report

2017 was another successful year for the National Women’s History Museum. We added to our leadership, continued to grow our programs, and held successful events raising awareness of the need for a National Women’s History Museum. In March, US Representatives Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) and Ed Royce (R-CA) introduced legislation that would establish a National Women’s History Museum on the National Mall. This was a pivotal moment in our movement to build the Museum.

2015 was another successful year for the National Women’s History Museum. We started the year with a bang celebrating successful passage of legislation that created the congressional commission to study the Museum and recommend a permanent site. Members of the Commission were officially confirmed in May – initiating a key stage in our efforts to gain support for a Museum on or near the National Mall.
