NWHM’s Newest Online Exhibits

The National Women’s History Museum is excited to announce our recent publication of two new exhibits: Getting with the Program: American Women and the Invention of Computer Programming and Inventive Women: American Women in Innovation and Invention. Both exhibits are accompanied by lesson plans that can be used in the classroom. Getting with the Program also accompanies the Museum’s electronic field trip Women Pioneers of Computer Programming which discusses the women who figured out how to wire the electrical connections that enabled the first electric, digital computer (the Electric Numerical Integrator and Computer or ENIAC) to complete 300 multiplications per second.
