Kenvi Phillips, Ph.D.
Inaugural Director of the Barack Obama Presidential Library

Kenvi Phillips, Ph.D. has served in libraries, archives, and cultural spaces for more than 20 years. She has held positions in academic, non-profit, for profit, and local and federal organizations. She served as the inaugural Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Brown University Library, the first Johanna-Marie Frankel Curator for Race and Ethnicity at Harvard University’s Schlesinger Library. Currently, she is the inaugural Director for Barack Obama Presidential Library. She holds a BA in History from University of Tulsa and is a double Howard University alum, receiving a MA in Public History and a Ph.D. in American History.
