Nia-Symonne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, with a background in web design, and is an exhibiting artist whose work investigates Black erasure, Afro-Nostalgia, Africana philosophy, ancestry, and memory. An alumna of the Studio Museum in Harlem’s Museum Education Practicum, she serves as research assistant to international feminist artist Kandis Williams and is deeply committed to ethical, community-centered research. Nia-Symonne is passionate about shaping historical narratives of marginalized communities and contributing to the evolution of cultural institutions, ensuring that art and education are accessible and transformative. She has guest lectured at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and seeks to expand her teaching practice. Currently pursuing an MFA in Photography, Moving Images/Interdisciplinary Art, and Social Practice, Nia-Symonne continues to explore the intersections of art, education, and social impact.
