2022 NWHM Virtual Summer Education Fellowship Award

The Fellow will oversee the National Women’s History Museum’s “For Educators, By Educators” Digital Learning Resources Project. “For Educators, By Educators” engages educators from across the nation who are eager to help create digital classroom- ready resources on women’s history in support of the Museum. The resources, which correspond to topics from the Museum’s 2018 “Where are the Women?” study of national social study standards on women’s history, as well as educator requests and suggestions from the 2021 NWHM Summer Educators Institute Student and Educator Needs Assessment Survey, are digitized and made accessible to the public onthe Museum’s continuously growing compendium of digital learning resources found at www.womenshistory.org.

The Fellow will solicit, correspond, and review submitted lesson plans to ensure that they support the C3 Framework for Social Studies Standards, are historically accurate, and meet the high standards of the Museum’s learning resource offerings. The Fellow will also review, edit, and improve existing online lesson plans. A $2000 stipend is awarded with this fellowship.
